Also now All Acess reports that the new single can be first-listened on AOL Nov 19th. The promos for the radio stations will be sent out on Nov 20th.

Of course the commercial release of the single will be later, but isn't it cool? Next week we will be able to hear MC's first track of the new album. Good that AOL Music Premiere supports this.
Other press reports say very positive things about the first single.

Hard to believe that Mariah Carey is preparing to drop her 10th album of a career that has seen its share of peaks and valleys. While theres been more good than bad since her 1990 debut, MC sure has seen her share of bad press, which is what makes this record so interesting. The press is the one who is generating a buzz on Mariah as some key radio tastemakers are just getting their ears on a track that features Snoop Dogg and Pharrell Williams. The Neptunes-produced track is just a sample of whats reportedly some of Mariahs best music in years, and if the early reports are to be believed, Careys new CD, due in March of 2005, could put her back in the Pop music spotlight. Carey has been laying low and it seems there is a new energy in the Carey camp with new management and a new executive overseeing her CD in Island/Def Jam Chairman L.A. Reid, plus now fans get an early Christmas present with a new track that is fresh with a killer beat that is sure to if anything put Mariah back in play in a big way. BET ON IT!

Important Update:

Well today one of the HBF moderators said the premiere on AOL on Nov 19th is just a rumor and not true!

So well we have to wait.
One the hand I am really sad on the other I hope the just make their promose true and the first premiere is on HBF.

Anyways FMQB says the single will be available for radio stations at the end of the month?!
SOoall kinda strange... Laugh

And now an update on Mariahdaily:

The release of "Say Something" has been pushed back, presumably to be closer to the March release of "The Emancipation of Mimi". Many dates are being thrown around ("Billboard" reports January, radio sources report December) but nothing concrete or unanimous has been announced yet. In addition, the AOL "First Listen" premiere of the song has been cancelled.

In regards to the album release dates (USA, Europe) - we would like to emphasize these are tentative dates and contradictory dates are likely to be reported by various outlets. Please consider all the current reports as unofficial and with likelihood of changing until there is a confirmation from Mariah's management or record label.

and now the first single release isnt before February... Surprised

there are rumors they wanted to release it on AOL but then decided not to do..because on whatever...
if the release will be on feb we will here it much earlier...
